Every few weeks something about AI goes off like a fire alarm. A report leaks, a headline runs, a video racks up two million views, and everyone spends a day in a low-grade panic. Then the details come out, and the story is almost always smaller and stranger than the headline. By then, nobody circles back.
Keep Calm and Prompt On circles back.
Calm first. Then get to work.
Who It’s For
Everybody. If you use AI, manage people who use it, or are simply tired of being told it will either save or end the world, this is for you.
Once a month, the magazine takes on the AI news everyone is talking about and gives it one careful read: what was claimed, what was true, and what it means in practice. Each issue is written for two audiences at once. Everyday users get plain-language guidance on using AI tools well and safely at work and at home. IT organizations get the practical detail they need to evaluate, deploy, and govern those tools without chasing every headline.
Who’s Behind It
Keep Calm and Prompt On is edited by Mark Wardell, whose career runs from safety review for NASA space vehicle design to risk management at Enron. The lesson from both: real risk is assessed quietly, by people reading carefully.
The monthly queue is always open to a guest voice of reason. If you have one, write to hello@keepcalmandprompton.org.
